Watson
Hello!
Watson is doing great at the new place. He is having the house training bathroom issues you mentioned to me before. I chalk some of it up to stress and the other part to bad training from the original owner. I am working with him to get him dialed in. He is such a sweet and laid back dog. He is extremely eager to please. I can't believe he wasn't adopted before then. Please pass these pictures along to your friend who picked him up and dropped him off at the kennel. If you want to forward my information to her, I will keep sending her pictures and updates on him. Thanks!

Kiwi
Hi Miley,
It's so cool to see the dog that Kiwi is now. She went from a timid little thing to a confident happy dog. It's night and day.
She plays now. She will wiggle to signal "chase me!" She barks when people come to the door and patrols. She sticks her head out the window on car rides. I love to see her ears up instead of totally flat. With the baby she follows him around and just stands guard.
She really is the best dog ever!

River
Hi Cathleen!
River is doing amazing!!! He has adapted extremely well to his new home. He met the dog next door and the 2 got along really well, River doesn't appear to be an aggressive dog. He spent the night in his kennel and I didn't have to force him in, I brought him to work today and he's doing great! I'm planning on leaving him home tomorrow just so he knows what it's like to be home alone. I can't thank you and Joe enough for bringing us together, thank you so much.

Scooby
Hi Nicole!
Scooby aka Huck continues to grow more confident everyday! The other cat hisses once in awhile but they are able to go nose to nose now and he even goes upstairs. He is such a love muffin and really a sweet dog! Hope you are doing well! I'll continue to send you updates now and then with his progress!

Tasha
Hi Cathleen and Joe,
We wanted to share some photos with you. Tasha is fitting right in with the family. We could not have found a better match for us. She loves the kids and knows her limits on how rought to play with them Tasha's favorite things to do is play ball and chase in the backyard. She is settling in to her new routine well and we are going to start working with the trainer this week. We have found out that she is housebroken (not one accident yet), knows sit, stay, leave it, bring it, come, and lay down. She tucks the kids in bed every night and wakes them up every morning. Her favorite hangout when she is not in her crate at night is on the tile at the bottom of the stairs where she stands guard. Thank you so much for taking care of her before we met her. We are so excited to have her and she completes our family.

Dalena
Hi Nicole,
I wanted to send you an update on our year anniversary of adopting Dalena. She is doing well and even likes to sit outside now. She is comfortable here and has settled in well as a member of the family. She's healthy and happy and follows us around. She even jumps around and plays some. Thank you for introducing us! I hope you are well. :)
Take care,

Smoke
Hi Cathleen and Joe!
Smoke and Haze are adjusting very quickly to their new life with us. They're very playful with each other, super affectionate with us, and extremely well-mannered! This morning they went for their first walk at the park and they did very well on their leashes. They romp around together quite a bit in the backyard and are very good at sharing their chew toys. It's so much fun to watch their individual personalities emerge! Thank you so much for letting us take them home so fast!
Bixby
Hi guys - Here are Oochi (FKA - Bixby) and Juju about three and a half month after they came. As you see, we have resigned ourselves to Oochi sleeping on the couch. He and Juju are inseparable now....I guess she forgave him for trying to eat her when they first got here. They have really settled down and become super lazy (the kids walk them in the morning then we realized they hated going out at night) - in other words, just like us (when we are home, we LOUNGE with a vengeance!!). Thanks for all you did for them!!
Trucker
Hi Nicole!
Boy it has been a hectic couple of weeks!! We are still VERY happy with Trucker! He has had a little bit of a rough time with the move, but is settling in to our new home. He loves rolling in the grass at the park and our yard. Hope things are well!
(( as you can see, moving was exhausting for Trucker! )) :)
Delphi
Hi Dennis,
Hope all is well on your end. Delphi, which I renamed NAPA, is doing great. Happy and growing. Attached are a few photos. She is great, a chewer for certain, has springs for back legs, and wants to eat, eat and eat and of course play. Seems very happy. Started puppy class last week. Made some new friends.

Hi Nicole!
Just wanted to give you an update on our sweet lil Mo! We started doggy training last week, he is doing very well with it, and lets be honest the training is mostly for us humans ;)
Our trainer, Theresa, with Brat Dog, knows of you guys and had SO many good things to say and her recommendations really aligned with yours. She taught us how to use the prong collar and it is making our walks much easier and for now, because he is very aggressive when he plays and there is no stopping him, we are instructed to keep it on him with the short leash until he is in the crate and when we are there to supervise and that has eliminated a lot of stress for us all. (We were covered in bruises, he's a tough boy)
He takes so well to the crate. Fortunately, I work from home so he gets to hang out next to me all day and is in it only when we leave and still to sleep since hes not completely house broken.
He improves everyday and we love him at every phase. He's really the perfect addition to our home, and I think he's happy too. We will keep you posted with more updates down the road!

Ella
Hey Miley!!
Just to let you know how CINDY is doing. She is so amazing. She has adjusted so well in such a short period of time......she has FULL run of the house. She loves to play ball, car rides and lots of cuddles!!. Being by my mom's side is her favorite. We finally got a hold of the ear infection problem and I think she is finally coming along with the food and no more skin issues, too! I can't believe HOW fortunate we are to have her in our lives. She so smart......very quick to learn. And since my mom speaks Japanese to her.......I believe she's bilingual, too!!
Thank you for helping us find another PERFECT German shepherd. NOW, Cindy has her forever HOME!
Timothy
Hi Coastal ! Here is Timothy (no name change) on his 10th birthday today walking along the beach and under the pier. He was adopted in 2006 and has been doing wonderfully. He hikes beautifully and is truly a best friend . He is one of the loves of my life. Thank you and hope you can find homes for many more dogs .
Cyrus
Hello Elizabeth,
Sorry for the delay, we have been moving and locating the box with our records and going through it was a task and a half. Attached is the certificate for Cyrus- now affectionately known as Bocephus or Bo. He loves when we go on trail rides and he gets to stretch those long legs of his Bo loves trying to get his sister, Tansey to play with him.
We get stopped many times on our walks to be complemented and pet and I always recommend Coastal German Shepherd Rescue to those people. We are so blessed to have Bo in our lives and want to thank you again for letting us call him a member of our family.
Thank you
Tamara :)
Ruby
Hi Chad, Lorraine,
It's been 1 week and I thought we'd drop you a quick note and a few pics.
Ruby is doing really well. She met my son's dog (Gypsy, the shepherd/husky mix) and they got on fine. They chased around OK, but Gypsy is very submissive and seemed to think Ruby's play was too forceful.
They did share toys, food and walk well together but we're work on the playing together. (Since he's in San Marcos, we usually only see him once a month or so.)
Ruby's walking with me every morning (she's my 5:30 alarm clock) and evening and is very well behaved on her leash.
She's gone(in the car) to the pet store, we checked out a new feed store and dropped my daughter off at band practice.
This weekend she had a play date with my brother's pit (Mowgli). They play very well together and we're hoping for a dog beach day soon.
Ruby is still a little "barky" at all the new sounds and voices but she has met the next door dogs and neighbors.
She loves to sneak up on and scatter birds in the morning and had fun trying to chase squirrels in the tree.
She seems to be settling in well and we're all very happy to have her with us.
Enjoy your week, and we'll keep in touch!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take this amazing girl home today! She loves my hound and he out paces even her at running around the yard.
Garth
Check out the attached transformation picture. One for the happy tails. He went from stray to euthanasia listed to family dog and now he'll be safe and loved for the rest of his days. Way to go Coastal!

Carver
Hi Beth, I wanted to check in and give you an update on Frodo. He has enjoyed his first family holiday to lake Tahoe this summer. He had a ball he has been swimming in the lake every day and walking with the boys in the woods.
He is very happy and very strong (103lbs) He is going back to Walteria park Torrance for some more dog training in September as he enjoyed it so much.
Hope everything is well, and we may even be down that way again for you to meet him again.
Here are a couple of photos of him, I am sure you remember those flat ears.
Best wishes Lucy, Ian, Ewan and Oliver Macfarlane.
Ilkie
Hi Diana,
Just thought I'd give you a little photo update on how well Shinobi (previously Ilkie) has been doing and how much she's grown. She's been a really good puppy so far. Real smart. Could use a little encouragement to grab her attention sometimes, but I think treats and training are working that out. We're also taking a group class at a Petsmart, as much to socialize her with other dogs as to learn a few obedience tricks. She's got a healthy appetite and is a really happy and sweet dog. Thank you again for your effort in fostering the litter. As you can see, she's already grown so much.
Best,
Kevin and Stephanie
Eve
We were away for a few days. Put Evie in boarding with covered kennels and left Blue and Claire At home. They are glad to be back together. Much lizard hunting has been done .

Mikey
Gosh! Do we love him!! He just loves my girls so much-he swims with them daily (he's going to be so sad when school starts) & he loves watching them play board games! Anyhow, thanks for taking such good care of Mikey, now known as Cowboy, till we found him!!!
