Giselle
Hello Miley,
Here are some pictures of our baby. She is 9mos now. We renamed her Mowgli. She is crazy, curious, strong, super smart and sweet loving and we adore her.
Bobby
Hi Miley,
Here are some photos of our family from Halloween. We rescued both of our dogs from Coastal. The Shepard is Porter and the mix is Kitty. My son is Tank, he just turned 1. The dogs have been amazing with him.
Thank you,
Angie and Paul Duffy
Riley
Hi Angie,
We call her Clementine, and she's the most lovable ball of energy. I'm attaching her spay certificate and a few photos. She's really added so much joy to our lives and has been the best little buddy for our older dog- they play for hours every day and we're still waiting for Clemi's puppy energy to wane. Thanks for helping bring such love into our home!
Best,
Sara Kelley

Fergie
I wanted to let you know that Fergie has passed yesterday. I fostered/adopted her back in 2011. She was one of the most perfect dogs to have. Fergie was so mellow and great with everybody. She started to go downhill this year, losing her bowel control and losing weight. She will be missed terribly, I love her so much.
Just letting you know.

Kilo
Hello Angie,
Yes Kilo, who is now Maximus Cirino, has been neutered. Attached is the papers, including receipt from Pet Orphans and proof of License from LA Animal shelter.
Also are a few pictures from our vacation last month. Maximus and I went on a road trip...4 weeks, 11 states and over 6,500 miles.
Thank you

Glitter
Hello Lorraine,
We wanted to give Coastal an update on our Glitter whom we adopted in April 2013. She is the prettiest girl in the block. Though she is blind in one eye, she is doing extremely well and has a lot of friends with whom she is enjoying the summer. Attached is a photo. Glitter is the one with the red collar.
Please let Beth and Miley know. Also, we have relocated to Dana Point and Glitter loves the cool weather and the beach. But being a Cali girl, she continues her sun bathing.
Thanks,
Sujatha

Giselle
We just thought you would like to know about Giselle (daughter of Gracie), who we adopted in August of 2009. Today we had to put her to sleep, at the very young age of 7, due to an aggressive form of cancer. She had begun to slow down over the last 6 months, and we thought it might be arthritis, although x-rays were inconclusive. About 8 weeks ago, we noticed a small mass on her left shoulder. The mass was inoperable and all we could do was ease her suffering with medication. The mass grew rapidly until, it became so intrusive that we we chose to do the humane thing, and end her suffering. She was the very best dog we could have ever imagined. She was gentle and loving. She rarely barked and loved chasing rabbits best of all. In 2013 we moved to Texas, providing her with a large backyard and lots of room to chase/catch those little bunnies, along with any other critters that happened into our yard. We are very grateful to have had her as a part of our family. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Newton
Hi Dennis,
Two years later and our puppy Kona (formerly Newton) is doing fabulous and we love him so much!!
Here are some photos I thought you would like to see! He is definitely a part of the family!!
Tommy
Hi Lorraine and Kim – attached is a photo of Tommy with Roxy and me from our walk earlier today. Thank you, Kim and Coastal German Shepherd Rescue for your patience and commitment to introduce Tommy to our family. He has adjusted to his new life with us exceptionally well. He and Roxy get along beautifully and he seems very comfortable in our home. He does still have panic attacks, but we expect them to subside over time. He is a wonderful, loving dog, well trained and full of personality. We are very grateful to have him and thank you again for all that you do to help these wonderful animals.

Wiley
Hi Miley,
Just wanted to let you know that Wiley is still doing great. He's the most loving, devoted companion we could ask for. He really fits the nickname "Peter Pan". He's still fun-loving, enjoys his toys, and is so sweet and young at heart.
Take care and thank you so much for all you did to care for Wiley before we found him!

Hap
Hello,
Five years ago, my husband and I adopted Hap (now Chancellor) from an event July 9, 2011. Chance is still active and happy go lucky. He has two human baby brothers and a fur brother. Since his adoption, my husband and I moved back home to Illinois where we bought the perfect home for our family; a nice big yard that's fenced in. I attached a picture of Chancellor that was just taken today to show you. Thank you so much for allowing us to make Chance a part of our family.
Rommel
Hi Miley-
Rommel has been well most of the year, and once again has taught me much. He is the Zen master and a universe of calm😌 He makes new friends everywhere he goes, chill befalls his arrival.....even with little bitty dogs. Did you know.....he is a big Billy Joel fan, and talented vocalist;-) Hope you are well, if you are ever down this way please let us know, we would love to host you & share the world you set in motion, we are in Encinitas.
Gina
Beth and Lorraine:
I know you are both busy with other GSs and your work and have little spare time but I want to briefly share with you the joy Gina has brought to Alberta and myself. And to Gina!
She has felt at home here from day one. She is not shy. The nice beds we bought for her have been discarded for our couch and our bed. As Lorraine knows Gina has the energy of a two year old which makes it easy for her to jump onto the couch and bed. When we walk her (we have various picturesque areas around Saint George each with a little over 2 mile routes we take) we get several nice compliments: “I like your dog†“Pretty dog†and my favorite “Who is walking who?â€. She can and does literally pull me into a fast pace. I think she is in a hurry to return to areas she knows where rabbits and the like hide. Walking that fast that far is healthy for us so we all benefit from Gina’s energy. We are out 7 days a week rain or shine. In addition to the two mile routes we are out twice more for shorter walks (one first thing in the morning and one in the evening) around our old peoples’ complex.
I want to reiterate my deepest admiration to Coastal GSR and in particular and especially to you both for the lifesaving efforts on behalf of these dogs. Because of just such an effort we now have Gina. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts.

Lani
Dear Miley:
I am doing very very well. I feel very much at home with my family.I follow them everywhere all day long and my favorite "activity" is pretty much the same, playing with them running after a ball and chewing my toys that I "love". With a lot of patience they helped me with my fears.I was very shy at the beginning. I don't annoy you more talking about me. I hope you are doing fine. Dear regards
Love

Hi Miley,
Dan and Christine Ludlow here. So sorry we havnt gotten back to you! Simply forgot. I ran across your Christmas card in a pile of stuff in the office and realized.
"Kelli" is a pretty happy camper i think. She has two other dogs to play with, Duchess and Duke, and a bunch of cats. We rotate dogs when we go out to Home Depot, or dinner when we can bring them, and sometimes to my folks house. In addition, Kelli goes with me now almost exclusively when i work at night two nights a week. I have a cleaning business and service a couple offices. She has a GREAT time. Runs all over the offices, it must be a surreal experience for her to be in a 5000 sq ft office with no people in it.
Feel free to contact us anytime if you want to come by and see her. We are home alot. Im going to try and send a couple pictures of her. One i just took tonight. Shes right at home sleeping in our bedroom.
Kind regards,
Dan and Christine Ludlow

Cali had a decent birthday party for herself on Feb.13th.!!! Today we had 3 long walks. She is ready for bed when it gets dark out! She is wearing me out!! Maybe you can let Cathleen ( where I picked Cali up) know how she is doing. She goes to the Army Vets at Miramar Marine Base in Mar. for a checkup and heartworm test and another yr. of heartworm meds.
Nakita
Hi Diana,
Just giving you an update on Nikki. She is doing great. Full of puppy energy but learning basic commands, is potty trained and loves playing with other dogs and my grandkids. I attached a couple of pictures of her.
Hope you are well,

Amadeus
Hi,
We just wanted to send in a picture of our boy Amadeus. He is such a sweet boy and loves his sisters. He is one of the most photogenic dogs we have ever seen. By any chance have you received any pictures from his litter mates? He was one of Jenny's pups. Thanks again for this big ball of love!

Dylan
Hi Diana,
Happy New Year! James and I wanted to send some pictures of Oso (Previously named Dylan, from the March '15 litter) all grown up, as he recently celebrated his 1 year birthday. We cannot believe how fluffy he is - we are so curious to see what his siblings look like. He's definitely a show-stopper!
Oso loves going to the dog park and going on daily morning runs around our neighborhood. He is energetic but not overwhelmingly so. He adores his 11 year old "sister" Lucia, and likes to get as close to her as possible at all times. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our home. Thanks again for rescuing our buddy!
Best,
Molly and James
Paisley
Hi Melanie,
I've been meaning to send an update for a while, but just wanted to give you an update on Paisley (now Elsa) that I adopted back in May of 2014. She honestly is the best dog I could have asked for. She comes with me almost everywhere and she has gotten so good with new people. She's constantly getting compliments on how beautiful she is and how well behaved she is. She comes with me to the barn everyday and she's a dream with the horses. I've even started taking her on trail rides and couldn't ask for a better trail dog. She's a perfect listener and is extremely respectful of the horses. My horse Wes adores her (I've attached a picture of the two) and always has to greet her as well as me, and she's so patient with her still puppy energy. She's always trying to get him to play and he always seems a little confused, but will follow her around. I can't thank you enough for rescuing my girl and for all you guys did for her. I couldn't imagine life without her.
All the best
Katie
