Otis
My husband and I adopted Otis in February of 2011 and he LOVES his new home! He may be 90lbs but he thinks he is a lap dog. He is extremely affectionate and loves his new humans. He follows us around the house just to be close. His favorite activities include getting his belly rubbed, going on walks, chasing squirrels, and being around his pack.
I have attached some pictures to share as a Happy Tail--Otis knows he is the luckiest dog to have been rescued by Coastal German Shepherd Rescue. His fate without you was to be put down. I cannot imagine how someone could ever give up a dog as sweet as Otis, but we lucked out getting him. Keep up the good work!

Hi Beth~
Tonia and I wanted to send these photos of Cara (Leisel when you had her) before the new year. We keep thinking of you and wanted to send these but they have been on my phone. She has been amazing and has really added a great new demension to our family. Cara/Leisel gets spoiled daily--trips to the doggy beach in HB as well doggy parks and great walks. Lots of time with kids and adults that basically worship her ...
We keep meeting folks that have gotten shepherds from your organization and we are very thankful to have gotten our Cara from you guys as well. Thanks for everything and we wish you a happy New Year!
Thanks for all you do!

Sophie
Hello,
I wanted to send you a few pictures of Sophie. I adopted her the end of May. She is doing great. She is a very happy active girl now and is really coming into her own. She seemed to have been trained before I got her, but she just completed a basic class. She is a little mischievous but very wonderful. She is with her brother Roscoe in this picture and I will forward another picture of her in a minute. Please tell Melody that she is doing great and we love her very very much. I
Thanks,
Sallie

Hi Miley
Thanks for checking in. Pace is doing great, she is a real sweet heart and fits our lives very well. We are taking her up to Caiucas for a weekend on the beach with family, and have no doubt she will have a blast. We walk her on the beach most mornings, and although she is not a swimming dog, she loves to chase the water, her ball and the foam. I'll attach a couple pictures.
Stop by anytime to see us, thanks again for changing our lives,
Mike

Melbourne
Melbourne
Thank you for helping us find the perfect companion. Melly was adopted in March 2011. When we first brought her home, she was so tired from recently having puppies. It took her a while to become comfortable with the house and the new dogs next door.
Now, she is the star of the neighborhood. Melly loves to play fetch and learn new tricks. She is so smart that she often anticipates the treat so she'll roll over, play dead, and high five even before you ask her! She is spoiled with treats and toys and has shown so much love and loyalty to us. Melly loves to herd us, hence she's a Blue Heeler, and I guess she thinks she owns the house now and we're ok with that. :)
Thank you again for bringing her into our lives and a special shout out to Sanika for helping us this whole time.
PS. We'd love to meet her only surviving puppy Molly!
Lobo
Lobo
Hi Tiffany,
Do you remember Lobo? We adopted him in August, 2005. When adopted he was 55 lbs & looked like he would grow to about 75 lbs. Today he is a healthy and fit 100 lbs and extremely loving. For as big as he is, all he wants to do is be home and stay as close to Mary and me as possible. It took us a few years and lots of checks to the vet to get all his medical conditions under control.
Today he is happy, healthy and beautiful! When Mary walks him, people stop her and say that Lobo should be a movie star! Thought you would enjoy seeing some photos.

Nikki
Hi,
I have been meaning to send a note for a long time. I thought you would enjoy an update on Nikki. Her transition to be honest wasn't that easy but have to say well worth it.
It took a bit for the three puppies to figure it out. The transition was probably about 4 months before she really opened up fully. She definitely has a higher prey drive than most dogs but smart as can be. We think she is probably jindo based on what we researched on the internet but in this picture I feel she does look shepherd too.
Now she and Ninja still wrestle but better understand their boundaries and I am happy to say I got my 'watch dog' Her instincts are perfect for us.
Best Regards,
Leanne
