Amber
Hello -
Since you didn't get to see Harlow, here's a few photos! She's part of the family already and doing well. Our only challenge is her fears when she's on walks. I've taken her on the exact same route, but somedays something will spook her ( a dog barking, a trash can) and she refuses to go forward. Other than that, no issues, and we are so happy she found us.
Have a great day!
Lisa & Michael
PS: (If possible, would you also forward to Robert? He shared how special Harlow was to him and his wife.)

Hey Miley! I don’t think we’ll make it to Costa Mesa this weekend as Nina gets car sick. We have been working with Vladae privately here at the house in San Clemente. He’s great. We started working “off leash†this week.
Nina has fit in wonderfully with the family. She’s crazy smart and very loving. Perfect for our family. I’ve attached some pics of her for you. If you guys wanted to feature her on the website as a “success†story I’d help you write it up.
Take care,
-Rick
Aja

Rocky
Hi Beth,
Here's some photos of Rocky that were taken by the tech at my vet's office. I'm headed home this weekend for a break from my training, and I can't wait to see him and Snoop. Being away from them has been the hardest part of my training.
Hope you are well. Please send my regards to Gary and the rest of the gang at Coastal GSR.

Bowie
Hi Diana! I wanted to send you an updated picture of Bowie aka Aristo. He's our big boy! He's about 65 pounds now and very handsome. He is always so happy! He loves to swim especially when it's time for bed, lol. He jumps in the pool every night around 11:00 pm and does a couple laps and then he wants to jump in bed with my son. He is such an awesome dog! We absolutely love him to pieces!
Thank you again for allowing him to be a part of our family.

Hi Miley. Merry Christmas! He is doing absolutely fantastic. He loves his faithful two long walks a day and sure doesn't like the bunnies. He is such a good boy and we love him!
Thanks for all you all do at Coastal. I will be making a donation by year end so hopefully it will come in handy for some dogs in need.

Eddie
Hi Friends,
Eddie and I are doing fine! We love are new home!! It's Xmas time and we are
happy and having fun. Are new Mom and Dad are taking care of us just fine.
All we have for them is unconditional love.
Although our parents say we are brother and sister.....I think we are in
love like boyfriend and girlfriend. We play together, we groom each other,
we sleep next to each other when we are in the house. Sometimes I hear my
parents say, that we act like humans together. I know we can't have kids,
but it doesn't mean we can't be in love and the best of friends. That
Eddie...he's such a protector. He's the best!
Anyway, thanks for letting them adopt us. It's a paring made in Heaven.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
Maybe one day when our parents will learn the language of DOG, and then we
can talk them into visiting you folks. It may take some time, Dad's a little
hard headed if you know what I mean :-).
By the way..it's OK to share our picture with my, and Eddies previous folks
who took care of us. You can also put our picture on Facebook and Twitter.
(Our parents don't believe in social networks...something about Big Brother.
Is that another Dog? Hmmm any way it's OK to post the picture.
Our Love to all from Ceeley and Eddie.
Oh yeah...Woof Woof and Lick Lick ;-)

Beeker
Beeker's name was changed to Cooper and he is a joy!!!!! When I get a chance I will come by with him to one of your events…….And if you are ever in Temecula, your all welcome to come by!!!
Here's a picture of "Coop" with my grandniece and myself in the backyard. He loves to run laps, and go for walks, and play with my niece(s). She loves to hug and kiss him, and he gets pretty excited when she comes to visit! Because she feeds him Cheerios. Plus he has me trained doing "stupid human tricks". We play fetch, but I'm the one digging the ball out of the bushes and retrieving. He has it all backwards.
"Coop" also barks at TV commercials when doorbells ring or knocking occurs. It cracks me up. He's still a bit skidish, but not as bad as when I first got him. He also has a small gulping problem, and we've been to my regular vet, and a CVS internist. We're taking him off of some meds, and changed his diet to a sensitive diet. So I really have to curb the Cheerios and make sure they aren't sneaked in!
He follows me everywhere I go, and he loves to ride in the car!!!! Happy Holidays. I can be reached at (951) 694-5787.
Shirley Johnson
PS - My neighbor who trained and showed dogs, told me Cooper looks more like a Belgian Tervuren because of his coloring and bone structure. He does kinda fit the bill for that descriptive and my vet has also changed his status from Shepard to Belgian. No matter what the heck he is, he is the greatest!

Hercules
Hello dear Miley!
Euan is doing SO great. Finally putting on some weight, getting some muscles built up in his hind legs and chest.
He loves to play with squeaky toys, tennisballs and frisbee a bit. Walking on the leash has been a new adventure for him, and he loves it.
So many dear and cats and dogs to sniff trails of and sometimes meet. (dogs only) He is doing GREAT with Ezmir. They really like eachother.
Euan is slowly relaxing, realizing we are his new pack. He loves to cuddle, and is very wanting to please.
Quick learner, sometimes calculating -as any good Shepherd-, and he is the first dog I've ever seen eat ripe blackberries from the plant.
He 'beds' like a coyote in the high plants, and likes to eat grass. We planted some wheatgrass that he grazes on.. Still some leftover stray in him, I think.
An amazing dog!

Tina
Hi there!
I just wanted to write and say thanks again for linking me up with such a great dog! I don't think we're going to be able to make it up to the clinic this weekend, but I think that'll be fine since we haven't had any problems after that first time that she totally escaped...
Have a good one!
Jo
Blitzen
Hi Miley,
Not sure if my email went through (I was on vacation).
Grizzly is a large gsd who "walked me" when we first got him, but one lesson with Vladae changed that! Using his technique, Grizzly now walks like a gentleman, right by my side. He also gave us tools to help with his VERY protective nature--it's amazing how well he understands this fantastic breed!
Grizzly is amazing!
River
Hello Miley,
Hope all is well with you. I'm sorry I haven't mailed the tag back to you. I will do it very soon … Attached are two pics - one of River & Narla, and one of River's antics last Friday.
River's been a very busy boy - and gets into lots of things. Have to make sure to pick some slippers & shoes and NOT have anything laying on the kitchen counters. He's a kleptomaniac for sure. Takes stuff off the counters and takes them to his bed. Came home to a mess on Friday, but at least it made me vacuum places where it's been a while!

Hi Miley and Beth,
It's been a month now and Hunter is really socializing more and more with us now, he's hanging out by us and looking for a little love and attention. He is spending less time in what we have named "Hunter's Hideout". Today was the best day yet, every time I have approached or called him he comes to me for some pets and hugs. He has responded well to us working on his barking and jumping and has just started eating full meals regularly. He still has a ways to go, but Hunter is a great dog and I think in another month he will be awesome! I have attached some pics. Hunter and Daisy are best friends and love to run and play together. He really likes the grandkids and has never been afraid of them (I guess his issues are with adults). We were worried the first couple of weeks whether he would ever turn around but we see the layers of hurt, distrust and abandonment slowly being peeled away, a layer at a time, and have learned that patience is the key. You can tell someone you "love" them, but it doesn't become real until they experience love from you. He is experiencing love from us and responding as he is comfortable.
Thanks for all you do!

Hi Miley!
See me in the backyard with my boys? I wish they'd share their Popsicles!
My mom wants very much to go to the behavior class, but my dad is working and cannot go this weekend or the last weekend of August, either. Everyone is supposed to attend, right? That means my mom, dad, and big boy too? If just my mom is acceptable, then she can try to come this month. If not, then they will try for the end of September. Maybe it's better to wait until I've recovered from my surgery, anyway? If so, then the end of October might be the best time of all.
Love,
Henry

Hi Sanika!
I apologize for the very late email ( > 1 year). :/
I just want to thank you for allowing us to adopt a great dog. The past year has been a wonderful time with the addition of Ace to the family. He's a spunky guy with full of emotion. He's a big sweetheart. Everybody loves him. He brings joy and energy to our other dogs.
I have attached pictures for you. I hope you enjoy them. :)
Thank you,

Raven
These are from last month and I'm not the best photographer but here are some pictures for you.
They're doing fine but suffering in the heat. Raven will let me put her paws in the pool to cool off but Dunkan thinks water is evil. I've been combing Raven's undercoat and pulling off piles of hair every day. She still has a way to go but I'm determined to get that undercoat under control even if I lose feeling in my arms. Talk about elbow grease!!
Gracie is doing much better with them both and has even tried to initiate play with Raven so they've come a long way. Raven still loves Dobby and Dobby and Dunkan are playing a little also. They've been doing really well on their walks but Dunkan still pulls a little bit. The Husky in him I'm sure. I've been receiving many compliments on our walks about how beautiful they are, how well-behaved they are, and how lucky I am to have them (don't I know!!).

Hi Diana
Wow, so Gunther has been with us 6 months now and has just grown up to become an amazing dog in the last few months.
Gunther is such a puppy still, as he just loves other dogs so much and has a great time going to doggy day care a few days a week,
dog beach on Saturday and then the dog park on Sundays.
He is so well sociolized, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body and he is very calm (well, for a nut) in any situation.
I was so happy with how well Gunther had come along that I started looking for a sister for him a month ago.
Oddly, a few weeks ago we saw a beautiful Malamute at dog beach and I told the owner how I had always wanted a Mal.
About 10 minutes later he approached me to ask me if I seriously liked her, as his family was thinking of putting her up for adoption.
I asked him to think about it for a few weeks to be sure, but if he was going to let her go, to call me.
Well they did last weekend and we adopted Maya last Monday.
Her and Gunther are very happy together and well my family couldn't be happier with our newest member.
The kids on her first morning with us is attached.
Regards,
Jim Ward

Lobo
hi miley,
just wanted to send you a little note to let you know how much we LOVE lobo!!! (we actually decided today to rename him Indiana or "Indy") it's like he's been part of our family forever! he really is the perfect dog.
he was really great in the car on saturday, and prancing around our garden within 5 minutes of getting home. he happily made himself at home right away! he has such a sweet and gentle nature with the kids and gets along great with our dog scout, wrestling and playing for hours. we took him on his first little walk around the neighborhood today, and though i was a little worried that he might be anxious about leaving our house, he had no hesitation at all and only stopped to sniff the flowers. such a sweet boy!
let us know when you (or someone else from Coastal GSR) would like to come over and do the home visit this week. can't wait for you to see how he's already such a great part of our family!
Apollo
Hello Beth:
