At Coastal German Shepherd Rescue, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Every role, big or small, contributes to the well-being and adoption of our beloved dogs. Whether you're driving a dog to their new home, assisting at an event, or fostering a dog in need, your efforts directly impact their journey to finding a forever family.
Driving and Event Assistance
Volunteers play a crucial role in transporting our dogs to and from events, veterinary appointments, and their new homes.
Events
Join us at adoption events where we show dogs available for adoption. We need assistance at every event in setting up booths and tear downs, bake sale items, taking care of food and water for the dogs, holding dogs, and greeting people.
Your support at these events helps ensure they run smoothly and successfully.
Merchandising and Administrative Tasks
If you have a knack for organization or a head for numbers, you can assist with merchandise management and administrative duties. Tasks include processing orders, handling data entry, scheduling, and responding to inquiries. Your behind-the-scenes work keeps our operations running seamlessly.
Fund Raising
If you're passionate about raising awareness and funds, consider helping with our fundraising efforts. Volunteers can assist in organizing and running various events, such as bake sales, garage sales, and charity auctions. Additionally, you can help manage online crowdfunding campaigns or coordinate community outreach activities. Your efforts in fundraising directly contribute to providing medical care, shelter, and finding forever homes for our German Shepherds.
Get Started Volunteering Today
Due to insurance restrictions, volunteers need to be at least 18 years of age to handle the dogs. We encourage all others to volunteer with us, as we always need help with bakes sales, merchandise, and administrative duties. We have many opportunities for students to earn community service hours within our organization.
