Zoey

  • Female
  • 6-9 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

Zoey came into the shelter system as a puppy, was adopted, then picked up as a stray 8 years later but the registered owners did not come for her. She was made available again and adopted for a second time in July. Towards the end of October, she was returned to the shelter by her new adopters (who were moving) and Zoey was made available for adoption yet again. The problem now is space: there are so many great dogs entering the shelter system, it’s not long before they become urgent.

Zoey was that dog. She’d run out of time. Some people can’t get past her age, as she was born on 3/1/13, but that’s a fantastic age! She’s not a wild stallion but is plenty active, acts like she's 4, loves walks, and knows basic obedience. She grew up with cats, but is uncomfortable around dogs. Zoey might not be a puppy anymore, but whoever doesn’t adopt her is going to miss out on an amazing dog as well as years and years of unconditional love and the best friend they could’ve had. 💙
