Zephyr

  • Female

How did this gorgeous guy find himself homeless and unclaimed in a high kill shelter? He has a plush coat and a regal presence, not to mention a great personality that aims to please!

We think that Zephyr is between 3 and 4 years old. He seems to get along great with other dogs and, of course, loves interacting with people.

Updated 6/11/07 - Thank you to all of you who kept good thoughts for Zephyr during his medical uncertainties. We are very happy to say that he does NOT have cancer. It appears as though at some time previous to coming into the rescue, he broke his leg. The injury was never taken care of and got infected. The infection mimicked cancer in the x-rays. After the second set of x-rays, a broken leg could clearly be seen. Although he may always limp, it doesn't slow him down. Zephyr is a great family dog, and would prefer a family with kids and another canine companion.

With another dog in the foster family's household in rapidly declining health, they have decided against making Zephyr a permanent part of their family..
