Zander

  • Female

How does a dog this beautiful end up in a high kill shelter? Sadly, dogs like Zander are not that unusual. He is a stunning individual, on the XL side with a gentle personality. As the Pedigree commercial so aptly states "do not pity a shelter (rescue) dog, adopt one".....rescue dogs should not be thought of with pity, rather with compassion and the knowledge that you are part of the solution by adopting a rescue and adding yet another happy ending to a deserving individual.

Zander is absolutely fantastic with people. He is housebroken, friendly and obedience trained. He does, however, have a very high prey drive so no small animals for him. We are looking for a family who has solid experience with German Shepherds & their potential drive. Zander is a powerful boy and we want to make sure we get him into the perfect home - one that can satisfy his high intelligence with appropriate exercise & training.
