Yola

  • Female
  • 6-9 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

Yola came to us from the shelter where her time was short. Our vet examined her and guesses her to be 3, maybe 4 years old at the time of her rescue, which would make her about 6 now.

This beauty is obedience trained, super smart, great on a leash, a fan of people who love her, a bigger fan of people dishing out affection as they proclaim their love for her, and an even bigger fan of treats and staying in to watch movies.

Right now you're wondering how she's still available for adoption. We are, too. Yes, it's true that she doesn't want to go to dog parks, but why do *you* want to go to dog parks? Is it because they're fun for you or because your dog likes them? If you're going because your dog likes them, then no worries- Yola is totally happy skipping the dog park! While she wants to be the only dog in the home and doesn't dream of spending time in parks filled with off-leash dogs who mount each other and squabble over toys, she does fine at adoption events and in group training, where she is surrounded by other leashed dogs. She's a lady and a boss, after all.
