Venus was rescued from a hoarding situation in Palmdale with Ryker. She lived with over 150 dogs on a lot with several trailers and broken down cars. It is believed that Venus was born there and just lived with the pack.

Venus' ears threaten to topple her body over!!! At least the length of her head, they give her a rather comical, bright personality. She loves to sleep curled up on the top of the couch and can hold her own amongst big male shepherds that outweigh her by 100 lbs. She's got one of her big foster brothers wrapped around her paw and she can walk along underneath him if she is feeling threatened by others in the pack!

She became sick shortly after being rescued from the hoarder. We treated her with antibiotics but she didn't improve, so she went to Dr. Nichols for hospitalization and eventually tested positive for Distemper, Bordetella and Corona. She was fighting a lot of different viruses. Unfortunately, her immune system wasn't strong enough and her little body gave out.

Venus lived with Beth before becoming ill and had integrated herself into the pack quite well. It is always hard to loose any of our rescue dogs, but especially hard to loose a puppy that lived with you. Thank you Beth for fostering Venus and giving her some time in a home!
