Brian, now known as Torsten, ended up in the shelter because his previous owners did not get landlord approval before they acquired him. When the landlord found out about him, the poor puppy was turned in. In spite of landing in the shelter, Torsten must have been very loved because he is a sweet and happy pup.
Torsten is primarily Belgian Malinois but he may have another breed mixed in there too because of his white chest. He is 6 months old and currently weighs 65 pounds. His puppy brain, in the big dog body, sometimes has trouble keeping his body and limbs coordinated and he can look clumsy but while he is playing. He absolutely loves people and wants to snuggle with his new foster parents all of the time. He is potty-trained and crate trained, but he doesn't really like the crate. He will reluctantly go in it.
Torsten's foster home has two large male dogs, including another Malinois, and numerous cats. He knows that his foster brothers are the alpha in this home but he most likely will try to be the alpha dog in a new home, even though he has been neutered. He needs to go to a home that has either a female dog or a very submissive male dog (or no other dog at all). Torsten wants to be the top dog and leader of the pack.
He has cautious interactions with the foster's cats and after getting "bopped" in the head by them, he knows that are not to be messed with. He knows the words "no cats".
If you are looking for a young Malinois who has lots of love to give, already has developed some good habits, and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, please check out Torsten!
