Spencer came to us with an embedded prong collar, which means someone got him as a little puppy, put a collar on him and never got him a bigger one as he grew older. The collar grew into his neck and had to be surgically removed.

Thankfully, Spencer got away from whomever did that to him and has since found us. His path was scary, as he landed in a shelter, but he's now totally healed and ready for a *real* family! Around 2-3 years old (although, most of us would argue that he's younger, like 1-2), Spencer is a big, goofy, young man with lots of energy and would benefit from training (as all dogs do!). He's potty trained and a quick study who is going to make some family out there feel like they've won the lottery.
