Sparkle

  • Female
  • 3-5 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

We were able to rescue Sparkle from an already full shelter just before the 4th of July. So many dogs come into the shelter system due to the fireworks, it puts the dogs already living there at risk of losing their lives to make room for the flood of incoming dogs. But not Sparkle! She caught that freedom ride with a huge smile, just picturing all of the balls in her future.

This beauty is probably 5-6 years old and absolutely lives for balls. She likes to catch them, hold them in her mouth, swish them around like Listerine, toss them to the ground and then start all over. Unless, of course, someone is there to throw them to her and then she's in heaven!

Sparkle is good in the house, potty trained, crate trained, good on a leash, and lives with large and small dogs. She really has no interest in playing with them, because she can't focus on anything other than her balls. But, if you have food, that's almost as good as balls! Sparkle is super smart and would love to find a home with a professional baseball pitcher, right fielder, or a family who has enough time to keep it fun.
