Skipper
- Female
When Skipper arrived at the shelter, he was limping and had no spark in his eye. After doing a thorough asessement and xrays, they found that his hip is completely out of the socket and has been that way for quite sometime, as you can see from the xrays. Skipper was immediately put on pain killer to help eliviate the pain, and within 24 hours he was a different dog. He has been baring this painful leg of his for who knows how long!!!!
When I met Skipper the first thing he did was lean over the bars in his kennel. He loves the company of other dogs, and while out in the viewing area, he was soooooo happy that he tried his darnest to run around as much as he could with the biggest smile on his face (once again as evidenced by the photo next to the kiddie pool). Although Skip is on pain meds and anti-inflamatory, he is still quite uncomfortable and gets easily tired from that leg.
Skip is scheduled for surgery, he will come out a brand new dog, no more pain for our Skip, he can look forward to a wonderful new life, something he has yet to experience.
