Most likely, Shelby was abandoned or dumped in the middle of nowhere, because she pretty much stayed in the same area waiting for them to come back. There were no signs nor posts of her family looking for her and, of course, she had no collar nor microchip. We couldn't stand the idea of her living on the streets and knew we had to help.

Now safe in rescue, this little pint sized cutie is starting to come out of her shell. She's a bundle of joy and excitement around the people she knows and trusts, but is very timid with new people. Probably only around a year old, this girl is big and small dog friendly and we think she'd probably be ok with cats, too, although that's just a guess. Shelby is going to make someone very happy and have you wondering, for the rest of your life, how someone could've let a dog like her go.

She will need a calm, patient home that will give her time to adjust and she will be an amazing dog before you know it.
