Scout

  • Female

Scout’s owner was in a terrible accident and spent five weeks in the ICU. His family helped by caring for Scout. But now facing four to six months(!) in a rehab facility, Scout’s owner and his family decided that the very best thing for Scout would be to ask Coastal GSR to find him a great forever home.

Only a year old, Scout is a LARGE, loving, and stunning black-and-tan boy. He’s friendly with everyone once he gets to know them - it takes him a little while to warm up to strangers. He gets along swimmingly in his foster mom’s nine-member pack and even sleeps on her bed (with permission from the senior pack members, of course). He’s completely potty-trained and 100% reliable in the house. He’s smart and catches on quickly.

Scout is tall with a huge head, suggesting that he’ll be VERY big when fully grown, probably weighing in at around 100 lbs. He’s surprisingly calm for such a young dog, and loves to snooze or just sit quietly wherever his foster mom goes around the house. He likes children, bonds quickly, and will make a wonderful companion for just about any family or single person.
