Meet Ryan. He is a handsome Black and Red male who is approximately 2 years old. Somehow this "Hunk" ended up in a High kill shelter where was rescued on his last days by a Coastal Volunteer. Though he is safe with Coastal, Ryan now finds himself looking for a new family, one who will neither discard him or would actually care if he was lost!.

From Ryan's color and structure he appears to be from "German Showlines". He has not had any formal training, but does walk nicely on a leash. His new family will have to commit to training Ryan, something his original family neglected to do. Obedience training is a fun and easy way to establish a bond between a dog and his owner. Since the German Shepherd was bred to work with his handler, most dogs not only need the leadership from their owners, but crave it as well. This should not be difficult for Ryan as he is a happy, compliant boy, who seeks the approval of his handler.
