As a puppy, Ruger turned up at the shelter after seemingly having been hit by a car. We rescued him and immediately sent him to our vet, where we discovered that he'd sustained four fractures, including one to his pelvis. He had multiple surgeries and then left the hospital to recover in a foster home.

Since his rescue, he's more than doubled in size! Around 2 years old now, he now enjoys running and playing with his foster siblings and having a grand old time, even though he still has a little "kink" in one back leg. Ruger is crate trained, potty trained, and good with other dogs, but he can be overly rambunctious for little dogs. We are unsure of Ruger's mix... maybe GSD and Basenji? Whatever it is, he's a medium sized boy who is very sweet, has tons of puppy energy, and likes to have a toy in his mouth at all times.
