Roy

  • Female

We have no idea how Roy ended up in the shelter labeled aggressive by his former owners. After an evaluation, we decided that it couldn't be right and brought him straight to an event where he proceeded to lick small dogs, allow small children to drape themselves on him and just be an allaround gentleman.

We think Roy is about 2 years old, its hard to tell as his canines have been filed down! This gentle giant does fantastically with other dogs, willingly sleeps the night in a crate but will also hang on the floor next to you. Roy discovered a big ball on his first sleepover and so far, it hasn't left his side. He has a big ball drive but its not obnoxious! He will bring the ball back over and over to you....or he will settle on a lounge chair and quietly entertain himself.

One more thing about Roy, he has been debarked - our best guess is that he was left in a backyard 24/7 with no interaction and so he probably barked to entertain himself - the solution wasn't to integrate him into a family but cut his vocal cords. Sometimes we cannot help but shake our heads in sadness.

Roy is safe now and looking for his forever home!

We are asking a $500 donation for Roys adoption.
