Roxy
- Female
When we took her in, she had a yeast infection all over her body, ear infections and several intestinal afflictions. Over the last 6 weeks, we've taken the right care and she is as good as new. And even better, she's been in a foster home with numerous other dogs so she's learned how to be a proper member of a pack, understands the right place to go potty, walks nicely on a leash, knows a few commands and will happily sleep all night in a crate. She also loves car rides and can go for hours in a deep slumber!
Roxy can get a bit overwhelmed in her foster home because a lot of dogs live there (not the typical home situation - sometimes 8 dogs are in residence!!!) - what we've learned is that she would do best with one other easy going dog or even as an only dog so long as she was able to have play dates, dog park/beach days and go through obedience with her new family.
Roxy is really one of a kind - she has a wonderful sense of humor, she loves to play in a water hose and she has a silly face that she demonstrates for other dogs - this will go away as she gets more and more acclimated to other dogs.
