Rommel and Harper

  • Female

When we were contacted by the shelter to help these two gorgeous dogs, we were unable to say no. A label of "older dog" in a shelter is nearly always a death sentence and when we heard their story, we couldn't help but save them.

Rommel and Harper were well loved and cared for by their person for nearly eight years. When he passed away, there were no provisions for their care and no one in the family could (or would) commit to take them in. Harper has cataracts and is nearly blind - she can see shadows but Rommel is her seeing eye dog. Harper is a beautiful blonde lady with a slim figure; Rommel is a big classic fellow. Both are much more agile than their 8 years would suggest - they have many years left to love and be loved!

We plan to try very hard to place these two beautiful dogs together in their forever home. Please don't let Harper's disability scare you away. Once these two are met, its hard not to fall in love with them.
