Rolf

Rolf is a beautiful 18 month old sable German shepherd. He has a large masculine head and appears to be from German lines. When Rolf fills out, he should weigh about 90 pounds. He was picked up from a high kill shelter on his last day.

Our volunteer discovered that Rolf had been neutered recently, in fact, he still had his stiches in . We don’t know how this gorgeous boy got separated from his previous owner, but we do know that he loves people and is dog friendly too. At the shelter Rolf walked through the cattery and showed no aggression toward the cats, so he may be able to live peacefully with a cat in his home.

Rolf is young and doesn't appear to have had a lot of training. He will need a home that is committed to working with him on his basic obedience. It would be best for him to be placed in a home with older children as he is a big boy and could accidentally knock down a small child. Rolf loves people and dogs a like, and craves the attention of a stable family.

Rolf is crate trained and does very well in a crate for extended amounts of time. Our volunteer has discovered that he seems more comfortable and secure in a crate for the day then in a yard by himself. Rolf needs a loving family that will spend lots of time with him. He would also be very happy with a another dog to pal around with! Rolf is eager to learn and will be a wonderful addition to an active family.

We are asking a $500.00 donation for Rolf to help with some of our medical expenses on the other dogs.
