Rita was on her way to the shelter, her family was losing their home and they were going to take her and her 9 babies and drop them off to a very uncertain fate. Fortunately, we were alerted of her situation and in a moment's notice our volunteer drove out to meet her owner. Poor Rita was brought out on an extension cord as a leash. Luckily, her and her babies were scooped up and taken to safety. Mom and babies have done well and now it's time for Rita's rascals to find their forever homes.
