Coastal GSR was contacted by a southland shelter that let us know a tow truck driver, who was moving an abandoned car, found a box containing three puppies inside the car. The puppies were estimated to be 5 weeks old. There were two males and a female and their foster family named them: Ranger, Rolo, and Rooney.
Who does that kind of thing? We don't know; we ask ourselves that question almost every day.
The puppies were treated by a vet for parasites. Otherwise they were tiny but healthy pups. They have been with a foster family that has large dogs, small dogs, and young children. The children love them and have spent lots of time holding and playing with the puppies.
Ranger is one of the boys and he looks the most like a traditional German Shepherd. We don't think they are pure bred but they have some degree of German Shepherd in them. Ranger is sweet and cuddly. He is a typical puppy: he loves to wrestle with his siblings, playing with the children and exploring the house and yard.
