Ranger is a huge baby. He is 9 mos old with the high energy of a teenage boy. Ranger's family purchased him from a breeder back East and flew him to Southern California as a baby. Unfortunately, health problems have precluded them from being able to properly channel his energy and enthusiasm. Luckily, he has a very sweet disposition and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Not so great with cats, we learned.

We are asking for a minimum donation of $500 for his adoption - dogs like Ranger allow us to help other less fortunate dogs. We will only place Ranger in a home with German Shepherd experience in training and obedience; his new family must be immediately prepared to start working with Ranger in a structured training environment. He is not appropriate for a family with small children - his exuberance and size will knock them over.

Ranger walks beautifully on a leash and loves to "work" with his backpack on and his nose to the ground.
