Poppy is an approximately 6 year old male German Shepherd mix weighing in at 55 pounds. He was confiscated from his home because the owner was a hoarder, had too many dogs on the property, and the dogs were not receiving proper care. Poppy is very sweet and gentle; he sits and waits before eating his food and takes treats nicely from your hand. He enjoys attention and will roll over for a belly rub. He appears to be good with other dogs and rides nicely in the car. He is very agile and spry for his age, so a 6 ft perimeter fence is recommended for his yard, though he also settles down nicely. He is very alert and on patrol without barking unnecessarily or incessantly.
