Poppy was at a shelter and, when no one came for her or adopted her, she found herself in danger. We were told she was a GSD mix and threw her a life vest. Now, seeing her in person, we know she's not even the second cousin twice removed of a GSD. She's likely a Husky or Klee Kai mix, as she's around 35 pounds and looks to be half cotton ball. Whatever she is, she's adorable and probably around 11-12 months old.

We have a volunteer who is determined to make us a Husky rescue. He's winning. He's really winning. 😅😂

Poppy came to us with a bad case of kennel cough, but pushed past that and was just healthy enough to finally be spayed. She's shy with new people, but great with dogs of all sizes and warms up to people in time. She's actually a little baby who loves to be carried, but we informed her leash skills are important so we're working on those now.
