Meet Pepper, a beautiful sable, female shepherd approximately 7 years old. She is a stout girl, around 75lbs and is underweight at the moment. Once she is at her ideal weight, we would expect her to be in the low 80s.

Pepper is living at a foster home with three other shepherds, although her preference would be to have her foster people all to herself! At first she wasn't too sure she wanted to be around other dogs. She loves all people, children and adults, and is possessive of their attention. She is easy with treats, toys, food, as they relate to people - she allows them to control her "possessions". She is very playful (gallops around the yard) and is so happy to be out of the shelter!! Pepper deserves a chance to have the love and attention she has been anticipating for so long.

Update 4/21/06:

Pepper is settling down and has learned how to play with other dogs! Pepper is now enjoying her dog companions and is interacting with ease. While she still
gravitates towards "people love," she is quite happy to spend time
running and playing with the other dogs. Never too late to learn how
to play!
