Ollie

  • Male
  • 3-5 years
  • White German Shepherd

Ollie is a big and handsome White GSD whom we rescued from the shelter. He was originally picked up as a stray and adopted through the shelter, but, two years later, his adopter was moving and didn’t consider Ollie in his plans, returning him to the same shelter from which he was adopted. When his time there ran short, we offered him a life vest and welcomed him into the Coastal family.

This gorgeous boy didn’t appear to have been socialized much with people, had horrible fly strikes on his ears, and was timid about life, in general, leading us to believe that he lived those two years in a yard and saw little else beyond the fence. We worked with him and saw that he needed help in trusting strangers and becoming more confident. He scored an amazing foster home where he realized inside living was much nicer than being a backyard dog! He’s come a long way but will need a low traffic home with someone who believes in him and can show him life is fun and not scary. Around 3-4 years old, Ollie is a gem with the volunteers he knows and trusts, has honed his leash skills so much that he's now considered easy to walk, and is looking for someone to show him structure and give him leadership so that he can feel confident and comfortable in his new life. 💙
