Obie is a striking bi color male that is probably about 2-3 years old. He is a very mellow and laid back fellow - maybe that has to do with how he was found. Found wandering at Ocean Beach in San Diego, one of our volunteers was alerted to his plight after he was seen being left at the beach and wandering there for about three days.

We are still making every attempt to reunite Obie with his owner. He will be taken to the shelter for a few days in the hopes that his owner will find him, but if not he'll be returned to us. We've also posted signs and listed him on Craig's list. Unfortunately, most often nobody comes to find their pet, and too often we find people who saw someone drop off their pet and drive away. Always keep a collar and tag with your contact information on your pet, and use a microchip and a backup.

Obie likes everyone - hes cool with other dogs and very friendly with people. He seems to have a pretty low energy level. Currently living with an alpha shepherd, he has no problems playing second fiddle.
