Nigel
- Male
- 1-2 years
- German Shepherd Dog
Nigel is one of Coastal's most handsome boys! He is big and good looking and he knows it. Even though he is a good sized boy, he is a sweet guy who likes other dogs and people.
Nigel was rescued from a situation of severe neglect and starvation along with another German Shepherd, Anna Mae. They were locked in a small makeshift dog run in the back of a wrecking yard for month's on end. Nigel is so happy to be out of that situation and he has bounced back with immense amounts of energy and happiness. He is friendly to all he meets, is grateful for attention, is a quick learner and eager to please. Nigel Loves walks and is quickly learning manners and commands.
Our veterinarian guesses that Nigel is about one year old or slightly older. He may still be growing. He was under weight when we rescued him and he is gaining weight daily. Nigel is expected to be 80-90 pounds when he reaches his full size.
Nigel shows little to no aggression with other dogs and is interested in others. He's easy going and is just enjoying his new life. Life in a Coastal kennel means regular meals, medical care, walks, and lots of love from the volunteers, but its still not the same as a forever home which he hopes to have soon.
