Neela is a 2-3 month old German Shepherd puppy and here is her story: she was given to a coworker by another employee. The coworker realized that Neela was growing quickly and would end up being a large dog, larger than what she could keep or handle. So she began looking for a new home for Neela. She posted her on the Internet as "free to a good home" and one of Coastal's supporters saw it and contacted us. The owner agreed to hold onto Neela until we could come and get her.

Neela is a sweet puppy that immediately started kissing the volunteer who picked her up. She loves other dogs and would do well in a household that has friendly dogs that need a companion and would play with a young puppy. Neela has been in a home with school-aged children. She is still in the puppy teething/chewing stage and should have plenty of chew toys to keep her busy.

Neela is 20 pounds at 2 1/2 months old. She is solid. We think she will be a big girl. She doesn't like to be in a crate but will tolerate it. She is getting more used to it every day. She loves car rides. Neela will be an awesome companion for any family as she loves to be in the thick of things and be with people and other pets.
