Nana came to us weighing 7 lbs more pre surgery - if you look below, you can see the tumors weighing her down. Someone allowed her to get like this with no medical care - clearly a mother over & over (you should see her take care of the foster pups in her temporary home), she was tossed out like garbage.

We have nursed her through a slight case of pneumonia and had the largest of the tumors removed. Thankfully, Nana is in robust health, no cancer but will require a couple more surgeries to get back her girlish figure.

Nana looks morose in her photos but she is anything but. She is truly a gentle soul with people and good with other dogs but like any good mom, she doesn't take much lip from anyone. She lives relatively harmonioulsy in a house filled with other dogs, some alpha, some not, most are older but a handful of pups sprinkled in. She has taken to the "dog" couch, relaxing with her buddy Deuce in quiet harmony.

Nana would be a wonderful addition to a family with smaller kids - she is quiet, calm and loves a good long head scratch.
