Milton

  • Male
  • 4-6 months
  • Belgian Shepherd Malinois

Milton, his two brothers, and his mom, Tasha, came from a sad situation in Bakersfield. They had been abandoned in a field and rescued by a caring group of volunteers who gathered them up, had them examined by a vet, and then placed them with a temporary foster. Other than fleas and ticks, the three puppies were healthy but they had been feeding off of Tasha, the mom, and she was nothing but skin and bones.

When Coastal GSR was asked if we could help, there was no way we could say no. We had a foster family offer their help and we rushed Tasha and her pups to them.

Mom Tasha is a Belgian Malinois. Milton and his brothers appear to be mixes of Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd. (See also Mikey's brothers Monty and Mikey.) Despite being born and spending their first month under desperate circumstances, Milton and his brothers are doing great! Milton is a "wanna be alpha" who likes to wrestle with his brother Mikey. The two of them take turns taking each other down. However, if Milton is placed as a puppy with another alpha dog, he most likely will cave and give in. He's not that tough. (He just thinks he is at 4 months old).

Milton looks more like a GSD than a Malinois. But, he is part Malinois so be prepared to give him lots of training, activity and socialization! He is adventurous and would not mind having another dog to hang out and play with.

Milton is crate trained and potty trained! He is one good looking, smart puppy!
