Marley
- Female
- 3-5 years
- German Shepherd Dog
We saw a picture of a GSD at the shelter who looked absolutely broken: she couldn't stand, was in obvious pain, looked fearful, and needed help. We rescued her and immediately sent her to our vet
There we discovered it was pyometra, an infection in the uterus. Her uterus was huge and full of pus and her bladder was distended and the size of a volleyball. We can't imagine the pain she'd endured! She did well through surgery and was moved to the emergency hospital where she could receive 24/7 care. It was a few more days, but she was finally able to stand, kept improving, and was then released from the hospital.
Marley is crate trained, good in the house, likes a car ride, and does well on a leash. She loves going for walks and can keep up with the best of them! Marley is going to need an experienced home, as she can get overprotective, and needs to be the only dog in the home. She will repay your kindness with lots of affection and ultimate loyalty.
