Sadly, Maple almost lost her life because the shelter labeled her "Rescue Only," which means she wasn't made available for public adoption. When we inquired as to why, we were told that she is excitable around other dogs and needs training. Are there any dogs that don't need some training? We didn't think so, so we rescued this cutie, around 2-3 years old, and promised to help her find a family of her own.

This beauty is super affectionate, wicked smart, great on a leash, basic obedience trained, and gorgeous. OK, she wants to be the only dog, but she's doing you a favor! Do you know how expensive it is to care for two dogs? And cleaning two times the dog hair? Using two times the lint brushes? Buying two times the toys and treats? Two times the flea and tick prevention? We could go on, but we hope you're starting to see that Maple is like a warm, loving, soft savings account.

Maple's a people pleaser and is constantly working on improving her obedience game (she's almost a Jedi Master). She adores people, big or small, and, although she can be near other dogs without losing her mind, she would prefer a home with no other canines.
