Meet Luke - approximately 2 yrs old (or less), silver and black male shepherd. Luke is a good spirited young male who was found as a stray and rescued by Coastal from a local shelter.

Luke is a sure thing with other dogs (and we think most animals - including cats)! He loves to play and would be best suited for a home with at least one doggie companion. He often initiates playful interaction with those around him and doesn't appear to be dominate, rather would prefer to follow. He is in a foster home with four shepherds - males and females - and integrates well.

We are getting to know Luke, but there is some speculation that he might have been abused in his prior life. He is very confident with women but appears to be cautious around men, especially touching his head. Once he knows that he can trust, Luke will approach men and seek out some loving.... Luke just needs to know he is safe and that he can trust his surroundings. His confidence will continue to grow with loving support. Luke is yearning to give his lifelong devotion to the right family.
