Lucky
- Male
- 1-2 years
- German Shepherd Dog
had the pleasure of spending an entire blissful week with this jaw dropping heart throb, and I can tell you without question, Lucky is far greater than anything I will be able to write about him. He's an incredibly handsome guy, with all the brawn and brains required to be the best dog ever with just a smidge of work. Walking him with a leash & a pinch collar is as easy as going for a walk in the park with a loved one could be. While walking, Lucky turns, stops and sits by either voice command or a click of the fingers. Lucky does extremely well with all large dogs; males, females… He loves them all. Other dogs do very well with him as well. They seem to sense Lucky doesn't represent a threat and therefore they don't show any aggression towards him either. He's calm and comfortable with the hectic coming and goings of a busy home. Luck’s former family fed him table scraps, which has made him a little mouthy in the kitchen. We worked on this issue successfully during his stay with us; however a little more work will be required. He learned how to give paw on his sixth attempt.
Lucky's foster dad would feel absolutely secure having Lucky as the only protection in the home as well as playing with his young daughter and her friends. He prefers to sleep downstairs next to an open door. Lucky’s not without flaws, but at his age he can be quickly taught all he needs to know. This big guy needs to be seen to believed, experienced to be appreciated and loved to be Lucky.
Lucky is great with dogs close to his own size, but not with small dogs and we do not believe he would coexist peacefully with other small animals such as cats, rabbits, etc.
