Hey you! Yeah, you. The one that just said, “Aaaaawwwwhhhhh, what a cute, little puppy.” Betcha didn’t think that I could hear you, huh? With these big ears, I don’t miss much. The nice people at Coastal say that I am going to be stunning once I grow into my ears. I’m just a puppy, so I don’t know much. Although I think that stunning is a good thing, right?
My name is Kona. I am 5 months old, but so far my life has been anything but easy. Somehow I got separated from mom and ended up out on the street all by myself. When the guy in the uniform picked me up, I thought it was a blessing because I would finally get some food in my tummy. Boy was I wrong. I ended up in a scary place where some dogs go to sleep and never wake up! When the woman came and led me out of my cage after two, long weeks, I was sure that I was a goner. I squeezed my eyes shut really tight and braced myself for the worst, but thankfully I was wrong again. The woman was no ordinary person; she was from Coastal! Imagine my relief when she cradled me in her arms and promised me that everything was going to be all right.
So, here I am at Coastal’s boarding facility hanging out with a bunch of really friendly dogs. I thought that I had really hit pay dirt, but my new, canine pals tell me that the best is still yet to come. On Saturday I get to go out and party at Petsmart. If I am lucky, maybe you will be there? I sure hope that I’m not wrong this time, so don’t forget. I will be at 26761 Aliso Creek from 11:00 to 3:00. I can’t wait to meet you. I just know that you are the right family for me.
