Karma

  • Female

Right before the big storms hit last week, with the help of Hope for Paws, we took in Karma, a young pitbull that had been making her home under a skinny row of bushes in a refinery parking lot in North Long Beach. Compelled to help Karma, we brought her into a foster home to get her warm and seen by a vet. Karma has a broken pelvis that will heal on its own with crate rest. She has the typical scars & battle wounds of a lost soul - she has a wonderful disposition and loves to curl up on the couch. She'll even wear a silly coat if she has to!!!!

Karma is housebroken - she will go to the door to let you know that she needs to get out. Right now she is in a foster home but its not an ideal situation for her. There are too many other dogs in the home and what she really needs is a quiet place where she can rest for a few more weeks to let her bones heal.

Update 1/30/10:

Karma relocated to a new foster home with a quieter lifestyle than the one she started in. Her new best friend is a 12 year old boy as you can see from the photos. Karma gets to meet tons of kids and she greets every one of them with an enthusiastic tail wag and a smile for all. She loves her new "boy" and is especially grateful that he lets her stay warm snuggled up with him. Her next adventures are going to baseball games and practices.
