JR
- Female
JR is one of Sydney's puppies. Sydney was rescued from a high kill animal shelter on her very last day. Upon arrival at our vet's office, we discovered that Sydney was pregnant and pretty far along at that. We made the decision to have Sydney continue her pregnancy, although the last thing that we promote is adding more litters of pups to the world! Sydney struggled through her pregnancy with an awful case of pneumonia and got daily care from our dedicated veterinarians. Sydney gave birth on April 30th, in the car on her way to a new foster home. We have no idea who the father was, and there may well have been more than one! The pups all have distinctive looks and all will be large kids when full grown! Sydney was very lucky to be adopted on her first weekend out at our adoption event! She is doing very well in her new home and is hoping that her pups all find amazing homes!!!
One of the pups wasn't growing as well as the others and his foster parents became concerned. Tube feedings were started and this little pup began to flourish. Still half the size of his litter mates, JR is catching up quickly! We think JR may have a problem with his vision. We will be having his eye sight checked in the next week. Regardless of his disability, if he even has one, JR is an amazing pup. He is the sweetest, most loving little guy. He loves to suck fingers, toes and noses! Due to his size difference, he is occasionally on the losing end of the friendly puppy battles, but he is quick to grab a tail and get right back in! JR and Shane have very similar markings and love to play together.
