Joker is very lucky to be in a foster home that understands that any kind of shepherd needs rules & boundaries. In the first few days in his foster home, it became very clear that Joker had never understood the word "no".....he does now!

Joker is incredibly smart,sensitive and wants to please so he learns fast with a very light hand. He is highly food motivated. He’s got a great clowning personality and he’s a lot of fun. He needs a lot of activity and stimulus but he’s not hyper or obnoxious.

The ideal family is one that likes long walks, jogging or running every day. He settles down nicely at the end of the day. He’s a typical shepherd and can only relax when everybody is accounted for. He’s going to be very loyal. However, due to his age and energy (plus food motivation)we don't recommend a home with very young children.

He would also do fine in a house with another dog or dogs. He’s been incredibly good with the foster family's dominant male shepherd. He doesn’t appear to have a small animal drive but we haven’t done a formal cat test.

Overall, Joker is going to make a great companion for a lucky family!
