Joey
- Female
Joey is a beautiful black and silver "blanket back" male, about 2 years old. He was rescued from a high kill animal shelter after being picked up as a stray. When he arrived at the shelter, it was discovered that he had a broken leg, probably from being hit by a car. Coastal was told that the injury would heal on its own, but Joey will be checked by our own doctors for a more definitive prognosis. He is currently beginning to put weight on the leg.
Joey is a very laid-back boy. He gets along great with his doggie foster brother and sister, and really loves his two-legged foster sister, whom you can see in his pictures. He is potty-trained and uses the doggie door. He is, however, very unsure of walking on the wood floors in his foster home, but will learn very quickly.
We will update Joey's condition/prognosis after consultation with our doctors.
