Jesse

  • Female
  • 1-2 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

Jesse has been living with three confident shepherd girls and their human caretakers. She is very playful and has learned that she isn't top dog in the household. She loves kids and loves to kiss - she may be too much energy for the littlest kids but preteens and older, probably will be a very good match.

Jesse is about 95% housebroken, if the door is open, she'll usher herself outside! She is also crate trained and will often send herself to bed. Jesse takes food very gently, she won't get on furniture. If you are looking for a dog that could excel at advanced training, look no further than Jesse - she is EXTREMELY bright and loves to learn.

She has been attending adoption events now that her leg is completely healed and is doing much better with her socialization with dogs that she doesn't know. She is learning how to calmly interact in new situations.

Update 3/20/12

Jesse is easily excitable and overly effectionate. Jess will make a great companion and work partner for anyone willing to put in the time. She reponds well and quickly to all training exercises. Her recall while off leash is becoming stronger. I have been able to socialize her with people and children of all ages. She is great with all of them. Appears to be hyper aware of anyone holding foreign objects while walking near her.

Crate trained, 98% house broken, well mannered, eager to learn, NEEDS A JOB
