Songs inspire us and help make a memory. Arriving from the shelter, this sweet new mom was rail thin and very tired, yet happy to be alive and safe with the strangers who rescued her. Seeing her walk down the sidewalk these words from the Bruce Springsteen song "Jersey Girl" popped into my head: "You know all my dreams come true when I'm walking down the street with you ...... 'cause nothing matters in this whole wide world when you're in love with a Jersey Girl! The perfect name for the perfect girl.

Jersey is a stunning, tall, black and red young lady who found herself alone and pregnant in a scary shelter. She delivered her babies and kept them safe until we could rescue her. Not more than a pup herself she welcomed her foster mom's help caring for her babies. She has been a very good mom and a model guest in her foster home for the past 5 weeks. The sad and skinny girl who arrived on July 3 has blossomed into a healthy, active beauty.

Jersey is housebroken and well mannered in the house. She walks nicely on a leash and her favorite thing is to spend time with you and be petted. She likes to explore around the yard and has discovered the joys of bug chasing. Jersey has a zest for life and watching her will put a smile on your face. This playful young lady will be a great addition to a family who wants a wonderful companion with an off and on switch. She is ready to go when you are or just happy to hang out.
