Good news for people who don’t enjoy playing with filthy, drool soaked-tennis balls — Jaycee doesn’t want anything to do with ‘em either! But take her on a nice rambling walk where she can occasionally stop and smell the roses, and she’ll think you’re the greatest thing since crunchy peanut butter. And if you need someone to bounce ideas off of while you work from home, keep you company while you cook or wash dishes, perhaps even be a taste-tester for a new recipe, well, you can stop taking applications right now, because you won’t find a better dog for the job.
Jaycee was at the shelter when she appeared to have had a stroke and needed immediate medical attention, so she became urgent. We rescued her and sent her to a neurologist for an MRI, which revealed that she had not had a stroke, but had a bad/deep ear infection. She's was on a course of strong meds for a while and is now ready to put that all behind her!
She's probably around 4-5 years old, ridiculously sweet with people, loves to follow you around, and is good with other large dogs. She had a pretty severe head tilt when rescued, but now it comes and goes and is much less pronounced. It will probably remain this way for life, but it doesn't bother her nor stop her from leading a totally normal life. Jaycee is crate trained, good in the house, and loves nothing more than to follow you or the other dogs around the house. She's a goofy, sweet girl who is going to make some lucky family very happy!
