Jax

  • Male
  • 1-2 years
  • White German Shepherd

At just 16 months old, Jax is a big boy! This tall glass of milk is super sweet and loves being around people. He lived with small dogs, prior to being turned in by his owners, and has no reaction to big dogs. He can get jumpy when excited, so he'd probably do best with older children (although, he did come from a home with young kids).

As soon as we got Jax from his previous owners, we noticed something askew with his gait. We sent him to two different vets and also to a neurologist, hoping we'd find a simple fix to his issues because he's such an amazingly sweet boy. He has a reduced disc space issue in his spine, although it isn't affecting the cord. Neurologically he's been better at his recheck appointments. He may have had an injury in his old home, which originally lead to his symptoms and have since healed. He still has a gait irregularity, but is not painful.

If you met this enormous puppy, you'd instantly fall in love. Even through everything he's endured in his short life, he remains the sweetest and happiest boy in town and is going to make a great addition to the right family.
