Jade came to us with multiple bite wounds that were caused by another dog who lived with her when she was a young puppy. The owners gave her to Coastal and we got her medical treatment for the bites and a broken bone. She then went to live with a wonderful foster family while she healed. She has been there for a little over 3 months and it is now time for her to find her forever home. Jade is just a little over one year old.
Despite her past, she is not shy around any dogs, big or small, and she loves people too. On walks she assumes that all people and dogs want to say hi to her. She goes up to dogs, and if they don’t want to interact, she sweetly walks away. She loves to play with children and dogs. She would be great in any home, with or without other dogs. She will try to hog all of the attention from her people, if she can, but will share her food bowl and toys nicely.
Jade would love to be a lap dog, or just lay by your feet, and she plays well with her toys all by herself. She likes the dog beach, but won’t go near the water. She would be a great dog to take to work or to a dog friendly restaurant. Jade is very bright and knows basic obedience. She walks on a leash and listens well. Her foster said that when they are out walking, people often remark on how pretty she is. They know a beautiful dog when they see one!
