Around 2-3 years old, Jade was turned in to the Apple Valley shelter, alongside two other dogs with whom she lived, by her owner. We rescued all three and quickly realized that two of them weren't feeling well and needed medical attention. They both had pneumonia, but Jade was healthy and had no issues. Sadly, her companions battled pneumonia for almost 4 weeks before they lost their battle, leaving Jade as the sole survivor. Losing her two friends threw her for a loop, as they had been together before losing their home and even after, providing each other comfort. Now a solo dog, Jade is finding her way and learning that the world is really just opening up to her now.

This beauty didn't seem to have ever been walked on a leash, but is doing much better now. She's on the large side for a female, adores people, but can be shy when meeting strangers. Jade is smart, attentive, rambunctious, sweet, energetic, a lover of affection, and going to make a great addition to any family.
