Imagine a dog who is sweet and affectionate, loves people, loves to play fetch, loves water and literally climbs in the tub on his own when it’s bath time, loves being with his person, but is also content and well behaved when left alone in the house, loves to go for walks and hikes, is great in the car, loves to sleep in, is as happy chilling with you on the sofa as he is splashing around in the rain with your 10 year who thinks splashing in the rain is the best thing ever, has a nice, deep, menacing bark but rarely uses it, only barking when warranted, and enjoys music at nap time, snoozing by whoever is playing the piano. We present... Jackson!

Jackson loves all people and prefers a quiet home with dog savy, older kids that don’t require herding. 😂

Jackson came to us from his owners, who were going to have to send him and his litter mate, Levi, to the shelter. Shortly after coming to us, they both came down with URIs, which quickly turned into pneumonia. It was serious and they stayed at the emergency hospital for an extended period of time. Sadly, Levi did not recover, leaving his bonded brother behind. Jackson was having a hard time recovering on his own, no brother by his side, but was healthy enough to be released from the hospital. He landed in a great foster home, with dogs and kids, which helped lift his spirits by leaps and bounds.

This sweetheart is potty trained, great in the house, and ready to find his forever family!
